COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
From Manitoba to the WSOP Final Table
477 entries. One memorable run. A third-place finish worth celebrating.
Manitoba Poker Network founder Fabienne Spuzak made her mark at WSOP Circuit Calgary, battling through a competitive field to take third place in the $500 Progressive Knockout Bounty event.
With bold decisions, a lucky card protector and new friendships along the way, Fabienne returned with a story our community can be proud of.
“The professional players were really nice and intimidating at the same time,” she shared.
Thanksgiving Poker Brings the Community Together
Big hands. Double the action. A community giving back.
Compassion Connections Foundation’s Thanksgiving Monday Double Feature Poker Tournaments brought players together at Sonix Bar & Grill for a day of poker in support of the foundation.
One standout moment belonged to Scott Friesen, who hit quad fives to claim half of the Tier 1 Blazing Accumulator!
A special thank-you goes to the venue, poker staff and everyone who joined in. Events like these show what Manitoba poker is all about: good competition and a community that shows up for one another. đź’ś
Thanksgiving at the Trip Aces Tables
Holiday spirit. Competitive poker. A final table worth celebrating.
Trip Aces Poker Tour’s Thanksgiving tournament brought together 67 entries, with a $3,402 prize pool and $1,015 up for grabs for first place.
As play reached the final table, the remaining players gathered around the purple felt to battle for the top spots—and a Thanksgiving finish to remember.
Congratulations to everyone who reached the final table, and thank you to the players and organizers who spent part of their holiday bringing Manitoba’s poker community together! ♠️
